Security Guard
The Australian Jockey Club invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Security Guard.
The Australian Jockey Club is Australia’s premier thoroughbred racing organisation with an exciting programme of race meetings at Royal Randwick and Warwick Farm. It has a long and proud history, traditionally playing a leading role in the racing industry, one of the country’s largest.
As a Security Guard, you will report to the Assistant Security Manager and will be responsible for managing the day to day operational needs associated with the asset and people protection of our two racecourses. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated Events and Hospitality Department.
A key aspect of the role is to continually review and recommend improvements to raceday and non-raceday security, public safety and incident reporting and investigation. In addition you will monitor departments and operating areas to ensure adherence to company security standards.
To be considered for this exciting and challenging opportunity, candidates will need to hold a current NSW Security Licence Class A & C, NSW Driver’s Licence and experience in operating electronic security measures eg; CCTV, Intruder Alarm & Access Control Systems. A strong and motivated personality with a positive communication style is essential for the role.
